Covid-19: Uzodima Formally Launch Isolation Centres in Imo. By Hon. Ugorji

Imo State Governor, Sen. Hope Uzodinma, on Friday, formally launched the newly constructed Imo State, Isolation Centres, located in Okigwe General Hospital, Aboh Mbaise General Hospital, Owerri West Civic Center, Orlu Road, Federal Medical Center Owerri, General Hospital Umuguma, University Teaching Hospital Orlu among others. This came after his public tore and commissioning of the Centres and the 27 Local Government Areas of the state.

Uzodinma, speaking at the commissioning of these Centres, assured Imolites that Imo State Government has put every mechanisms on ground ensure that every Imolite is protected against the pandemic Corona virus. He added that 28 ambulances has been provided for emergency approach and Health Professionals on ground to attend to any effected person. His words:“I feel the pains of every Imolite, we have made provision for food items through the traditional rulers of every community to be extended to the poor families. We are urging everyone to be vigilant and apply the necessary safety measures. The Isolation facilities we created so far, in our assessment, is a world-class facility”.

The Commissioner for Health, in her reaction further made available an emergency number available to the general public to call just in the case of any suspected case. “The number to dial is 112, we have medical teams that are readily available to pick and run to your rescue”, she said.
Prof Morice Iwu in his speech advised all to always maintain social distancing and assured Imo citizens of their preparedness in the case of any report.
